Future of Health | Rightsizing Hospital Design

Date: 13 May 2025
Time: 12:00 pm AEST
Location: ON24 virtual event

In today’s rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, the design and operation of hospital facilities have never been more critical—or more challenging. As populations grow, construction costs rise, land availability shrinks, and the need to reduce carbon footprints intensifies, healthcare infrastructure must adapt to deliver better outcomes at lower costs.

Rightsizing hospital design explored how we can meet these demands through innovative, data-driven design strategies. This webinar showcased how advanced crowd modelling, efficiency and evacuation simulations, and scenario testing can optimise the flow of patients, visitors, and staff within healthcare facilities. Discover how these tools enable smarter planning, maximise resource utilisation, and improve patient outcomes—all while keeping costs under control and supporting sustainable development.

In this session we discussed:

  • The prevalence of dynamic modelling to optimise design in other industries.
  • The role dynamic simulation can play in optimising hospital designs, presenting case studies on how this approach can provide data driven answers to challenging questions.
