Next generation perspectives on games legacy [on-demand webinar]
Next generation perspectives on games legacy [on-demand webinar]

The Next Generation Legacy Research is a first of its kind study, with a goal to give voice to young technical leaders who are both contributors to and living beneficiaries of the Brisbane 2032 Games.

During this webinar, we shared the pioneering results of the study carried out by QUT. The results explore the voices of Queensland's young technical leaders, their optimism, ambitions to drive legacy, adoption of technology as well as their role in creating a positive legacy for Brisbane's 2032 Games and major events.

Our speakers talked to the Next Generation Legacy e-book, which you will receive a copy of upon registration
, discussing:

  • Mobility matters: 68% of participants believe mobility should be the main focus for mega event legacies.
  • Sustainability first: 60% prioritise sustainability as a crucial element for major events.
  • Social impact: Housing and rental issues top the list of concerns, with 93.5% highlighting it as a critical social issue in Brisbane.
  • Inclusivity goals: Only 54% feel Brisbane is inclusive, but 75% believe the 2032 Games can enhance inclusiveness.

This session is particularly relevant for those involved in the planning, design and operational delivery leading up to and during the Brisbane 2032 Games, and we invite you to watch the on-demand version to hear directly from the research team.
