Decarbonise & build resilience - Getting climate ready: A panel and networking event 21 August 2025 - 4pm - 6pm

The South Australian Government has set goals to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by at least 60% below 2005 levels by 2030, and to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.

Significant investments are needed across the economy to meet these commitments, with climate-related financial disclosures playing a crucial role. Join us as we explore the practical steps organisations need to take to understand carbon impact, prepare for net zero and adapt for a climate-resilient tomorrow.

Our dynamic panel discussion will be facilitated by GHD’s Laura Trotta, Technical Director - Climate Change, and Michael Simioni, Executive Advisor – Environment and Social Governance (ESG) and Decarbonisation.  The panel features ESG specialists across the transport, energy and utilities sectors:

  • Paula Pothoven, ESG Project Manager at G'day Group
  • Tara Hage, Director ESG at Department of Infrastructure and Transport (DIT)
  • Colleen Luck, Manager ESG at ElectraNet

Topics we’ll discuss:

  • Assessing & disclosing carbon and climate risks: Identifying & evaluating climate-related vulnerabilities to meet emerging reporting requirements.
  • Developing climate-resilient strategies: Planning for and adapting to future climate scenarios.
  • Preparing your organisation for transition: Adapting to new climate paradigms and achieving net zero.

Following our discussion will be a fantastic networking opportunity with drinks and light snacks provided.
